random thing of happy
Something random that makes me happy:

Sleeves I can pull over my hands. I have a great bunch of stretchy turtlenecks that looks snazzy, and the sleeves stretch over my hands. I love that feeling of hands balled up in fabric, even if it looks silly.

What is something random that makes you happy?

Fuzzy things definitely make me happy! I love texture. This guy I'm dating has a bunch of shirts with interesting textures, and I keep feeling him up just for the shirt-texture. ;)

Wearing a skirt for the first time in over a year! *twirls*

Also, really good music on my iPod that I haven't listened to more than a couple of times. There's a certain glee new(ish) music gives me. :)

I love skirts! And twirling! But wearing them in the summer is key.

Having two of things, especially 'treat' foods. When I was little, I would demand 'one each hand!' for cookies and the like, and I guess I never quite grew out of it. Sometimes I clutch one of whatever it is in each hand and wave them proudly. Hee.

That is so cute! Cookie symmetry!

soft pieces of store-bought bread, folded up and mashed down so its compacted and chewier.

(Don't ask. I don't know.)

OMG. I used to loooooove italian bread as a kid because I could do that. I would squish it into a ball. :) It's just funner that way!

... it's possible I still do that (especially with spaghetti factory bread -- YUM), but don't tell. ;)

I love having hot hands and cold cheeks [and putting my hot hands on my cold cheeks - face cheeks, mind!] like when you go for a mountain walk in spring.

Also, bare feet make me exceedingly happy.
Little Red: sga - sw happiness - jeepnymylittleredgirl on June 8th, 2007 08:52 pm (UTC)
Bare feet make me happy TOO!! Especially after pedicures. Which I don't have very often, and I love bare feet either way, but now I am all "HEE, pretty toes!"

The cold cheeks warm hands is a good one, too. I love warm hands in general, and warm hands touching cool things is a thing of happy.

There's this one specific bridge and movement in the song "Drowning" by David Berkeley that just makes me HAPPY. I mean, the song is all moody and slow and then it just busts into this kind of jazzy/drum-y bridge and the way he kind of wails the lyric "And the taxi horns and they sound like whale cry, and I..."

I just love it!
Little Red: trek - kes sees - 50thousandtearzmylittleredgirl on June 8th, 2007 08:56 pm (UTC)
OH! I love it when there is a perfect melodic change and you're just like "YES YES! Those notes! YES!" and it seems completely genius, and you're not sure why every song in the history of the universe hasn't done it exactly that way.

Don't make fun of me for exaggerating. :-P

Getting that urge to pirouette in the middle of a store, or just walking down the street, and actually doing so. :)

You know what I love? Open rooms. Open indoor spaces, like all the empty condos we're selling, and I pretty much have to twirl if I'm by myself, especially if I'm wearing a skirt. Love eet.

::hangs hippie-head in shame::

processed american cheese singles

I never, ever buy them. But at work we get them in bulk at the food bank (because we distribute food to kids), so there's always some in the fridge and we're allowed to eat whatever we want... so I eat a slice or two a day when I'm craving that sick, plastic-y taste. And I LOVE it.

:)
Little Red: oh peanut - josephidesmylittleredgirl on June 8th, 2007 11:10 pm (UTC)
I love you. I really, really do.

Kraft singles still kind of scare me. I'm always scared I haven't peeled off all the plastic, because they sort of taste the same with or without.

strawberries.

picking blueberries off the bushes after weeks of waiting and waiting for the things to ripen. All the while knowing that I get to make Bubbly Pies which are their own kind of glee
