I really shouldn't have read my swficathon assignment on a Day Of Work. Really not. I wasn't going to, but then anr was all "omg, reply and say you got it!" and once the email was open I couldn't not look...

... if you need me, I'll be over here writing that thing now.

-- Little Red, whose ability to suck at productivity is UNPARALLELED.

p.s. Can I pretend this is practice for productivity? Since I'm starting on something well before the deadline? No? Bother.

p.p.s. This would all be a lot easier if my muse wasn't a fickle little now-or-never thing. I feel threatened and coerced. *eyes her*

p.s.s. Because last week I failed to meet my Production Quota on my novel, the punishment will be spending three consecutive days totally offline and without teevee. I just bartered (with myself) that this punishment should be like punishments in baseball, such that I can choose the most convenient time and date for this. I'm starting to see why I got away with murder as a child, why I earned the family superhero name of "The ManipulaTOR" and why I'm going to be the most lenient mother ever.

5) OMG, numbered lists IN REVERSE!

4) You are cute too! Cuteness for all!

3) *does so*

2) But that makes me all NERVOUS, for now it must be WORTHY of having six weeks to work on it! *flails* That's totally why I never do anything until right before the deadline, I think.

1) Does it involve maggots? And I probably wouldn't be as insanely shrieky-gleeeful about mine if it didn't happen to hit one of my fic-kinks pretty closely. Although I think the girl whose request it is could write this particular fic way better than me, but oh well!
MsRaven: Sparky! Thanks to solid-snake56msraven929 on August 8th, 2005 07:26 pm (UTC)
1) Ewww - maggots. The movie Lost Boys ruined me forever. The hardest part for me will be keeping it anonymous. Hope that doesn't give anything away.

2) Six weeks sounds so long and so short at the same time.

3) If you finish early, does it get posted early? :)

4) You two are both adorably cute.

5) *wonders how long we can keep the numbered lists going*

5) OMG FOREVER, so long as topic substitutions are allowed.

4) [Babylon 5] "Have I ever told you that you are very cute for a Minbari? Yes, you are cute too -- in an annoying sort of way. Everybody's cute! EVERYBODY'S CUTE! Even me! But in purple, I am STUNNING." [/Babylon 5]

3) Er... I don't think so. I will just stare at it a lot and try not to develop a premature hatred for it. :)

2) It really does. At this point I'm all "omg, it is so long!", but that will change as soon as my muse spots something shiny and wanders away.

1) *behaves all sekrit-like*

5) *nods* Ordered lists are very gleeeful.

4) Cuteness all around!

3) Yay!

2) Hrm, I can see how that would be a problem. Well, you can write it now, put it away for a while, and then be all rushing around to get it perfect. Or something. My thing is that if I don't get it done as quickly as possible, I'm totally going to forget to write it. The only problem is that it's totally not something I'd usually write. (Darn it, I have to actually think about it.)

1) Hee. I realized after I put my request in that my request was totally something YOU'D request. I'm very curious to know how it's going to come out. And, er, no, no maggots.
