heavy things
Angel, my dog, died while I was away.

I'm probably moving to Oregon.

Maybe I'll be able to talk about it tomorrow.

Dude, seriously. I'd squeeze those extra few miles out of the tank just to get back into Jersey before filling up again. I didn't learn how to pump my own gas until after I graduated college and will gladly suffer being mocked for it as long as I can sit in my car when it's below freezing outside. Plus, sometimes they clean your windows for you, too. Hee.

This is like a basic life skill! !?!?!?

I never drove my four years in Evanston. It wasn't until I roadtripped back to Jersey for Christmas break my senior year did I force my friend to show me how to do it. YES, there was mocking. And then I never actually used that skill on my own until two years AFTER that -- it was a pump you had to actually squeeze and hold, which confused the hell out of me because I kept searching for the popper thingamabob. I was so flustered, I only added just enough to get me back over the state line. Yes, you're allowed to laugh. *las*

At least I learned that basic skill, though! Just last month, I had to show a friend how to do it, and SHE'S TWENTY-EIGHT.

My cousins grew up in Jersey, then moved to New York where they're now carless. I'm still not entirely sure if they know how to pump their own gas. And they're my age. *boggles*
