Last night, I was in a mosh pit at a Mormon Singles Mixer Dance in Lake O.

I took two benadryl and was asleep before 9...?
Little Red: ethermylittleredgirl on October 8th, 2006 07:37 pm (UTC)
The night before, sister and I stuck in Star Trek and fell asleep before 7:30 *without* drugs, so I think we're even. *grins*

Miera and I were talking about how we should all just trade off and then we can collectively have a social life. You know, like passing the baton or something. ;)
A.j.: geminiaj on October 8th, 2006 07:40 pm (UTC)
*snickers madly* Yeah, that's what my social life feels like. I'm currently waiting for The Mother and The Bill to get here and bring me furniture so I can have some lunch. :( I went to the gym earlier and did nearly 3 miles on the elliptical. Meeeeh. But last weekend I did many things that involved other people! And staying up late! It was impressive.

*yawns* Although what I REALLY want to do is to sit on my bed, watch Midsomer Murders, and take a nap. Oh, yeah, I am Teh Social.

Hahahaha!

...You can tell I'm an Oregonian. I found the funniest part of that to be the in Lake O part.

Strangely enough, we also found that to be the funniest part!

*barges in*

I read somewhere that Oregon has more mormans than any other state - including Utah - and I totally believe it.

Two of them came to my house last week (Salem) and now - Anyone want a picture of Jesus?
Little Red: oregon trailmylittleredgirl on October 9th, 2006 06:03 am (UTC)
... dude, really!? I will have to ask them about whether we really have more Mormons than Utah. I'd think they would have mentioned it by now, but then again, there are two Mormon churches within two miles of my house, so...

And what the heck! We didn't get a picture of Jesus! And we even made them Jell-o. ;)

... You are in Oregon, too? *ponders an Oregon Sci-Fi Night Of Joy*

Yup, I'm SO from Oregon.

Did people in other states really play that game? I still have nightmares about it to this day -- in fact, I had to stop naming the people in my wagon after family members. Despite the poor quality of the graphics, it was still pretty emotional when I lost my brother to the Cholera and mom died while crossing the river. But oh the gratification of shooting down a bear. *contented sigh* I could press that spacebar for days.

Will there be margaritas at Oregon Sci-Fi Night Of Joy? I'm in.
Little Red: oregon trailmylittleredgirl on October 9th, 2006 06:17 pm (UTC)
Yes, people from everywhere played that game! (In fact, I think that's the only thing most people know about Oregon. Before I moved here, I totally thought Oregon was one of the square prairie states in the midwest -- good thing I checked before starting to drive!)

We always named the party members after our family members too, but usually we'd all be playing together. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? Everyone knows you need to caulk the wagon and float it!!" "Shut up! You died of dysentery! You can't talk!"

Will there be margaritas at Oregon Sci-Fi Night Of Joy? I'm in.

It's possible we could be persuaded. ;) There will also be popcorn to fling at the TV when the characters do not obey, as that is a necessary component of all Sci-Fi Nights Of Joy. And ice cream, but not so much for flinging.

Mormons have mosh pits? Apparently....

Can I join the social-life baton-passing?

I was as surprised as you! It only lasted one Mighty Mighty Bosstones song, but still, it pretty much made my week. :)

Sure! I've got a lunch date, but it's all yours after that. :)

Also: *squeee* Naomi!!!
Nenya Kanadkanenya_kanadka on October 9th, 2006 06:22 pm (UTC)
Shiny! *scrambles around to find a day's worth of social life*

Heee! I forgot about your Naomi icon! How could I? It is love. But I totally had some random person email my and ask about my latest fandom obsessions, based entirely on my Seven & Naomi icon. Hee.

I think the real question is "Did you have fun?"
Little Red: trek - dax ooh! - viresse_iconsmylittleredgirl on October 10th, 2006 02:17 pm (UTC)
Come on, how could I not?

Wonderfully appropriate icon, m'dear! :)

I so love my Jack Huh icon. And yours wasn't too shabby, yourself.
