On The First Day of Little Red's Vacation, Comcast Brought To Me:
Richard Dean Anderson guest-starring in The Facts of Life, circa 1980 (as a former Olympic hockey player, no less!).

For those of you not fortunate enough to have Comcast On Demand right now, let me draw you a scientific formula:

Remember how young he looked in early MacGyver?

Subtract 5 years.

Subtract 1 mullet.

Add a canned laugh track, a progressive social message about interracial marriage, and quotes like "Tell me I'm prettier in real life!"

Revel in the Scary Actor Crossover of the day!

I actually have seasons 1-3 of The Facts of Life on DVD (and what that says about me, I have no idea), and I must admit I was highly amused when I saw that episode! I really know him more from SG1 than MacGyver, but it's still funny.

That makes it even MORE funny! Then you get to subtract 25 years!

Also: The Facts of Life rocks. I totally want the DVDs. It's so hilarious! My sister is so traumatized by that show, since the first episode she ever saw was the one where Tootie almost became a child prostitute. ;)

I really should start watching them again. I think I got through S1&2, but I don't think I ever tackled S3. I did, however, break out Family Ties the other day. Why yes, I am a child of the 80s... :)

I'm ashamed to admit I saw this episode something this fall. Apparently the hiatus from work caused me to go insane and Netflix very odd things from my childhood. Luckily The Love Boat isn't out on DVD and I went back to work before I got to The Incredible Hulk.

But, wow, he looks young, you'd swear he's about twelve. Except that he's like 9 feet tall.

And kind of adorable.

I didn't just say that. Nope.
